Oh no! There's a problem with the Generals!

It's a delightful problem to have, because I have had a number of Scholar Series General mallets find new homes around Adelaide. They have been used by many students for school ensembles, but some of them have had a problem.

Their heads fell off!

Fortunately, Harry Dunne and Lloyd Christmas had nothing to do with the development or maintenance of these mallets, and there's a very simple fix. So if you have this problem, get in touch with me, and I will come to you, pick up the mallet and repair it for you in a jiff.
So far, this has been the only model of Hills Mallets to have this problem (and I've put my Jarrahs, Lights and Warm Professional models through the Mahler and Shostakovich stress test), so it is likely to be an issue of the bonding material not adhering very well to the wood core of this particular model stick. Fortunately there is a way to increase the strength of the bond, so the pairs made from here on out shouldn't have this issue.
Happy hitting! Andrew
