Hills' drum kit mallets are hand-turned on the lathe using recycled timber sourced from salvage yards in the Adelaide Hills. With a hard felt core and wrapped in natural chamois, the general mallet gives a full, punching sound from snare and toms. These sticks produce minor contact noise when rolling on cymbals - but not so much to be heard or distract listeners from a distance.
