If an individually cut disc of cork on an 11-12mm bamboo shaft was the perfect combination as a baseline for a general mallet, then the Hard General should follow that same principal, yes?
 
Well no.
 
This mallet uses an agglomerated cork sphere instead of an individually cut disc. Don't ask why it sounds and feels better for this mallet than the OG. It just does, and some mysteries don't make sense.
